I am a visual storyteller, internationally professional travel & wedding photographer, filmmaker, writer, public speaker and educator who loves to explore and photograph God's beautiful creation, cultures, people and their stories around the world.
I fell in love with photography, exploration, and travel during my early teen years while reading and watching National Geographic and Life Magazine. My photographic journey began my first year of college when I purchased my first camera, a Nikon F. Armed with my camera, one fixed 135mm lens, and a cheap handheld light meter I began to explore this magical art form.
Photography is an adventure. It allows me to explore places, cultures, see the beauty and understand the world we live in. I love that it has the power to preserve forever how I felt in that exact moment I captured the image and shared it with others.
It may sound cliche, but to me, photography has the power to change a life, to make the world a better place. I want people to find hope in my photographs. I have a passion to document what moves me.
My photographic influences are photographers Eugene W. Smith, Dorothea Lange, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Jack Delano, David duChemin, and Elia Locardi.
My goal is to capture the emotional essence of “place and time," of people and cultures with my images and make people's lives better through photography.
I am a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico with a BA and studied photography at Portfolio Center for Advertising Photography in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been an active photographer for over 35 years and a pro for 20 of those years.
I love to share my experiences and passion for God's beautiful creation with others through exhibits, workshops, and tours. I teach the technical aspects of photography, visual storytelling and post-processing using Capture One, Adobe's Lightroom and Photoshop to help people liberate their vision and creativity.
There are beauty and wonder to be found everywhere.
I call home and work out of San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I live with my wife of 23 years and three great kids, one cat and a golden retriever.
I invite you to come along on my journey of discovery.
Venice is my magical playground.
